again
Tonight.
Wednesday 26 July.
11.25pm.
I go upstairs just in case.
"Dad," I shout.
The Dad arrives with the video camera.
There is no need for any explanation.
This is the third light phenomenon we've witnessed.
The first was on Friday 23 June.
The second was yesterday.
And now this.
Not circles of light as before.
This time it's... a luminous block of light waxing and waning across the strip of sky where the previous sightings had taken place.
Father and son are momentarily dumbfounded.
"Could it be a laser?" I wonder aloud. "You know those lights that they shine in the sky for advertising."
"For God's sake," says the Dad, "it's miles wide."
The luminescence appears and disappears several times over the next twenty minutes.
It makes no sound.
We film it.

I don't understand why the police or some official entity can't go and investigate the area that the lights seem to be coming from.
Keep us posted, James!
Schnee my thoughts on Tuesday night were exactly as you've written.
All my hoax theories evaporated before my eyes.
A much shorter sighting too than the first a month ago or the third yesterday.
Gen, that's a good question. The police did receive calls after the first sighting and a car was despatched to Naas racecourse, where apparently a caller had placed the lights.
This would tie in with a location in the direction of the Wicklow mountains.
After that there seems no urgency within officialdom to pursue an investigation of this type.
Anyone who hasn't seen the lights or our video, tends to be very sceptical.
I've had fun showing the DVD version to some of my friends. It's great watching their jaws drop, and feeling the air fill up with silence...
No more talk of helicopters anyway.
Smiles, James
