Prince Harry, a member of the British royal family, is getting some negative publicity this week.
The publicity stems from an attempt by the Rupert Murdoch owned anodyne insincere left wing broadcaster Sky News to promote the circulation of a Rupert Murdoch owned anodyne insincere pornographic no wing newspaper The News Of The World.
The News Of The World has through a spying operation on Prince Harry obtained some video footage of the Prince using barrack room language about a fellow soldier.
The fellow soldier is of Pakistani orgin.
In a piece of informal banter Harry is said to have referred to him as a Paki and a towel head.
I would hazard that the broadcasting of this spy tape is not the huge ratings winner Sky News thinks it will be.
The News Of The World implies that its spying operation amounted merely to accepting the video from a third party.
I doubt this is the extent of The News Of The World's spying operation on Prince Harry or on other members of the royal family.
It is highly likely that The News Of The World sought out soldiers who had served with Prince Harry and offered them financial inducements for footage of the Prince.
Nonetheless.
Prince Harry fought for his country in Afghanistan.
The decision to withdraw him from Afghanistan was taken over his head by civil servant types.
He has not been found wanting.
Moreover.
There is a more profound issue at stake.
I believe The News Of The World along with the tabloid media played a significant role in the death of Prince Harry's mother The Princess of Wales.
You will remember she was hounded to death beneath a bridge in Paris by paparazzi photographers who pursued her car through the streets until it crashed.
You will remember the paparazzi photographers at the scene took pictures of the Princess of Wales as she lay dying in the wreckage.
You will remember the paparazzi photographers did not try to help the Princess of Wales or her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed, or the two bodyguards who were also trapped in the wreckage.
Paparazzi photographers exist because newspapers like The News Of The World will pay paparazzi photographers money for hounding celebrities in the search for paparazzi photographs.
Death may result but that is be considered incidental.
The hounding is where the money lies.
My personal assessment has always been that the newspapers who promote paparazzi culture were responsible for the death of the Princess of Wales, and her boyfriend Dodi Al Fayed, and their driver Henri Paul.
I consider those deaths to have been murder.
I have not bought a tabloid newspaper since.
I include The News Of The World in my assessment.
I would add that I remain dissatisfied with the conclusions and conduct of various enquiries and investigations into Princess Diana's death.
I mention this only because it is intolerable to me that the same newspapers would now start hounding her son.
Sky News will not profit from its present promotional activity with The News Of The World.
It is a pact with the devil.
The declining circulation of The News Of The World will not be rescued by what is really just another low rent attempt to betray Great Britain.
The only ones to benefit in fact, will be the Jihadis and Muslim fundamentalists in our midst who may indeed derive some modest pleasure from the short term opportunism of Sky News and The News Of The World.
Muslim terrorists know full well how divided we are against each other.
They're gambling on our media groups to make decisive action against Islamic terror impossible.
It is a divide and conquer strategy.
But ah.
That's another story.

Sadly, there is always a market for trash. If people didn't buy it, it would not exist. One can only hope that the market for such garbage declines...but I am not too hopeful.

Heelers, the tabloids do their thing because people buy tabloids who do their thing. And the more they do their thing, the more people buy them for said same reason.

Wish were otherwise, but it is so, and it is proof of the general stupidity of humanity.

Hi S.
Are you an employee of the Johnston Press?
Life is local, eh?
Your point is well made but wrong.
If the tabloids did their thing simply because people bought them, every tabloid, and indeed the attendant fluff liberal atheistic pseudo intellectual newspapers who are also doing the same "thing", all of em I say, would be recording expanding sales.
In fact.
All of em.
All of em, in Ireland, Australia, Canada, Britland, to wit the Free World, all of em, are
recording.
DECLINING SALES.
They write as they do in celebration of porn culture, atheism culture, drugs culture and anti American defeatist culture, not because people want this crudd.
The media write this way because they are trying to recreate the world in their own image.
There is an illusory profit in this dysfuctional jettisoning of communitarian values.
This throwing away of the audience.
These profits will not last.
Without readers newspapers ultimately die.
Don't they Johnston Press?
Sometimes it just takes a while.
The first time newspapers managed to produce expanding revenues on top of declining sales was in Britain and America during the 1960s.
At that time the entire national media was hijacked by people with no values and swung almost instantly towards sex culture, atheism and liberal leftyism.
Newspaper readership went into freefall.
But cashflow increased.
Not because people wanted this rubbish.
If people wanted it why were less people were reading it?
Cashflow increased on the back of corporate advertising.
Corporate advertising devlivered us the miracle of newspapers with declining circulations, and effectively no readership betraying our countries first to the commies, then to the pornographers, and later still to the drug barons, and now finally to the Jihadis.
The Irish case is instructive.
Tony O'Reilly's Independent Newspapers group along with their supposed rivals at The Irish Times, have survived for 25 years on Health Board and Government Sector advertising.
It's all tax payers money.
They have no readers.
Their relationship of trust with the general public has been broken.
They used sex abuse to try and destroy the Catholic Church.
Don't get me wrong Johnston Press.
I'm not saying they told a single lie.
They just ignored 99.99 percent of the truth.
Apparently the 99.99 percent of sex abuse victims who were abused by relatives in their own homes aren't worthy of headlines, compensation or justice.
The Irish newspapers and television stations and radio broadcasters didn't tell a single lie.
But what they did amounts to a monstrous lie.
Doesn't it?
Those of us who boycott Independent Newspapers and the Irish Times still end up financing the anti Catholic anti American agendas of Independent Newspapers and The Irish Times.
This tax payer's money is placed year in year out with newspapers and media organisations that many tax payers wouldn't piss on if they were on fire.
The wheel is rigged.
But it's the only game in town.
I am suggesting that these newspapers pay backhanders to receive this advertising.
Think about it.
If I'm in charge of an advertising budget of fifty million quid, and you're in charge of a newspaper, would there not be a temptation to offer me a million quid in return for the placement of fifty million quid's worth of advertising with your newspaper?
Do you think this doesn't happen?
Do you think, say, that Independent Newspapers personnel or Irish Times personnel have a moral scruple about such things?
Perhaps stemming from their devotion to Christian values?
In Britain, the Guardian Newspaper openly suggests that Tony O'Reilly's circulation figures are not accurate.
The Guardian may not be an objective judge because it competes with O'Reilly's almost defunct British publication, The Independent.
Nonetheless, the truth is leaking out.
When we hear the old shibboleth, that newspapers behave the way they do, because the public supports them, we are hearing an absolute lie.
The public does not support them.
My testimony to you, is that the national newspapers behave the way they do because they are run by scoundrels.
I say it again.
They have no readers.
They are stewing now in their own irrlevency.
