and many salacious plot twists and incitements to violence have i seen
round many reruns of star trek have i been
which nerds in fealty to gene roddenberry hold
but never did i breathe the pure serene
until matt groening began merchandising the simpsons loud and bold

then felt i like some watcher of the playboy channel
when a new piece of infantile titillation swims into his ken
or like stout eastwood when with eagle eyes
he looked at a street punk with a wild surmise
and shot him over and over again
