Leaving Islam for atheism may be like jumping from the frying pan into the fire. As far as I can see, there have been three atheistic civilisations, all of them unprecedentedly and inherently murderous. Firstly there was Stalin's Russia using Darwinism and Karl Marx teachings as justifications to project through murder, torture and violence Soviet atheism into China, Cambodia, North Korea, Vietnam, Somalia, Ethiopia, Mocambique, Zimbabwe, Angola, Cuba and elsewhere. Secondly there was the Nazis, again with an atheistic Darwin fetish for master races and survival of the fittest, but aping to despise the leftyism of Marx, the same Nazis who, emerging victorious from a societal dynamic initially created by Stalin's attempts to export communism into Germany by terror, produced and inflicted on mankind their own inherently atheistic brutally murderous and terroristic aberrations. Thirdly we have Western secularism which is at present outkilling the Soviets and the Nazis via abortion, euthanasia and assisted suicide. The three atheistic experiments in civilisation have been worse than anything in Jihad. Harris you might want to think again about your decision to intellectually reject God. It's a long way down from Mount Olympus.
