saying the unsayable with uncle jayums

The IRA mafia's party political proxies Sinn Fein have as I write this, won 37 seats out of a total of 160 in the new Irish parliament.
It's an increase of 15 on what they had before the election.
I'll admit it's sort of a victory.
Sort of.
That's all.
Counting is continuing for the remaining five seats.
Fine Gael the outgoing party of government have 33 seats.
Fianna Fail have 34.
Rather ridiculously, left wing commentators are saying that the vote represents a seismic shift in Irish politics and the end of the two party system.
Here is the news.
For the past fifty years there has been no two party system in Ireland.
We have had plethoras of coalition governments involving various permutations of Fine Gael, Fianna Fail, the Labour Party, Democratic Left, the Progressive Democrats, sundry Independents, et al.
So the mould isn't broken.
It's just a bit cracked.
As for Sinn Fein's landslide, they are a few seats ahead, but there's nothing in it.
This is no landslide.
Let's call it a trial run for a landslide.
When fixing elections, it's necessary to go one step at a time.
Not a landslide.
It is though a still unexplained ten percent swing in the space of a week to a party run by the drug dealing, people trafficking, bank robbing, child abusing, raping, murdering and extorting IRA mafia, a party which is held in opprobrium by the vast majority of Irish people of all backgrounds, classes and distinctions.
And even though the present result is not a landslide, I'm still asking myself: how on earth did it happen?
Here is the news.
It happened three ways.

1. The immigrant population is voting in large numbers for the IRA mafia which trafficked them here.
2. The IRA would be a very restrained and decent drug dealing, bank robbing, people trafficking, child abusing etc mafia to turn its nose up at the readily available, and easily applied, vote fixing technologies and methodologies pioneered by Cosa Nostra in Italy and America. A few stuffed ballot boxes and a few subverted counting centres, and you've got your ten percent swing no problem.
3. Perhaps Vladdie the Pute, the resovietising President of Russia, has developed a fatherly interest in Irish elections. He's had plenty of recent experience rigging elections in Ukraine, Poland and Belarus. Don't forget that during the Cold War up to 1991, the IRA were run by the Russian Communist KGB as a proxy army for use against Britain. Maybe Russian President Vladimir Putin, a former KGB Colonel, hasn't quite let go of the leash on his beloved former Irish lickspittles.

That's how it was done folks.
Last word to newly elected parliamentarian David Cullinane who was supposedly chosen by the good burghers of Waterford to represent them. On being deemed elected he screamed to a mob of baying acolytes: "They couldn't break us. The couldn't break the hunger strikers. They couldn't break Bobby Sands. Up the Republic. Up the Rah. Tiocfaidh ar la."
