Austrian security teams cornered and detained a three man Jihadi hit squad in the streets of Vienna tonight following an attack that brought terror and death to the city centre .

Police officers were stunned when they stripped the face masks off the black clad machine gun wielding Muslim assassins whom they instantly recognised as Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, Financier George Soros and Jorge Bergoglio titular occupant of the Seat of Saint Peter at Rome.

"We didn't expect this," said Vienna Police Chief Gerhard Pustl. "One generally doesn't."

Police are working on the theory that the three became radicalised while eating wienerschitzel.

"We think they saw so much Jihad from those they had brought here through the collapse of immigration law," commented a source, "that they decided they wanted to do some themselves."

A pimply, red faced, teenage Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz admitted that Merkel, Soros and the Pope had been on police radars for some time.

Shoppers and pedstrians had fled in panic along Vienna's historic streets as Merkel, Soros and the Pope opened fire indiscriminately with machine guns in the incident prior to their arrrest.
