Lolling in a cafe.

My mind drifts over the vicissitudes of existence.

A few nights ago on the American channel Fox News a presenter called Tucker Carlson remarked: "Senator Lyndsey Graham isn't opposed to the war in Ukraine simply because he doesn't have any children and therefore he doesn't care about the future."

Droll.

The use of vituperation in even the most mundane political analysis on Fox or anywhere else barely raises a jaded Heelers eyebrow.

I do still keep an eye on the various declining news outlets for old time's sake though.

On this side of the Atlantic commentator Mark Steyn has just been fired from what is actually a newly established outfit called Great Britain News

That will finish GB News.

He was fired for reporting critically on vaccines developed for the Covid 19 virus.

The vaccines as Steyn has been pre eminent in pointing out, are killing and maiming people.

I don't agree with Steyn on some matters.

He ditched the Bushwhacker with undignified haste when Trump came along attempting to damage his political rival Mr Bush's brother Jeb by accusing Mr Bush of causing unnecessary wars. I couldn't accept that Mark Steyn found it possible to support President Bush's decisive actions in the War On Terror whole heartedly from 2001 to 2016 and then turned Turk on Mr Bush and the war effort simply because the election cycle had moved on and a new opportunist was in town.

You don't dump Churchill just because you got bored.

Of course Steyn's more recent admittedly honourable and indeed brilliant, exposes on the Covid 19 vaccines never touch on the fact that the vaccines are made out of aborted babies. So we differ there on the salient issue too.

I would have opposed the vaccines because they were made out of aborted babies, even if they worked and weren't killing people.

Nor does he dwell over much nowadays on his earlier contribution to the Covid 19 shenanigans, ie his initial acceptance of official government and media panic inducing reports and his repeating of them  verbatim with his own ominous mantra: "A dark tragedy is engulfing Italy."

He was like Jonesy in Dad's Army shouting hysterically: "Don't panic! Don't panic! Don't panic!"

Yeah.

A dark tragedy was engulfing Italy alright.

The dark tragedy being that Italians don't care about their elderly and when they get the Flu, they let them die.

Bear in mind that the initial media snow job about the Covid outbreak in Italy was used by governments to pave the way for lockdowns, face masks and poisonous vaccines made out of murdered children.

But let me be clear. Although Mark Steyn has, in my assessment, done a volte face on his earlier poor judgement displayed copiously in his suggestible, acquiescent, government compliant, panic inducing Covid 19 articles from 2020, he is now firmly on the side of the angels in reporting the malfeasance of pharmaceutical companies, governments and trans national entities such as the United Nations and its servitor the World Health Organisation, who in a supposed attempt to control the uncontrollable respiratory virus which Chinese Communist Party scientists with illegal nay criminal funding from Doctor Anthony Fauci of the American National Institute of Health had engineered in a laboratory at Wuhan, these governments, the UN and the World Health Organisation I say, have together compelled the public to ingest immorally derived vaccines for their own artificially created virus, vaccines which are killing and maiming people, vaccines which indisputably don't work and never have worked in preventing Covid 19, all this I tells ee, while governments, the UN and the WHO conspired to force people to wear silly, desocialising, mental health damaging, ineffective face masks, while imprisoning entire populaces in their own homes through lock downs and other frivolous Statist controls such as the imposition of travel restrictions and in Ireland forbidding people to walk more than five miles from their domiciles, I ask you. Mark Steyn has led the way in giving a voice to the very many persons who have been harmed, and are being harmed, by the vaccines and in furnishing a public critique of runaway aberrant abhorrent government policy in these matters. More so in fact than any other established broadcaster.'

I'll say it again.

Without Steyn, we have heard the last of GB News.

Back in the real world, I sit in a pool of light in the cafe.

My thoughts run on.

I think merrily on American broadcaster Bill O'Reilly who has been commenting succinctly and as if non disclosure agreements wouldn't melt in his own mouth, on attempts by a Democratic Party appointed District Attorney in Manhattan to level criminal charges against businessman turned politician Donald Trump over a hush payment he made to the splendidly named actress called Stormy Daniels during the election cycle of 2016. Mr Trump won that election by the way and became President of the United States before losing in 2020 to the Democrat Joe Biden. Also by the way, I thought both of those elections were rigged so basically I've had to shut up about the matter as I can't think of anything coherent to say.

Once more back to the present.

American District Attorney Alvin Bragg is this week attempting to attach the notion of criminality to Trump's giving money to Stormy Daniels in order to damage Trump's election prospects two years from now in 2024.

Not much of a pretext for criminalising the President.

I dare say it's just a Stormy in a D Cup.

But all Mr Bragg has to do is cost Trump two or three percentage points among the electorate in two or three electoral areas.

Than can be enough to swing the next election.

That's the game.

Bill O'Reilly is commenting.

The exact reason for my aforementioned merriment as I consider Bill O'Reilly's tough talking, cogent and fair minded analysis of Bragg's possible indictment of Trump, is that Donald Trump paid porn actress Stormy Daniels a mere hundred and fifty grand in hush money after they slept together while Bill O'Reilly paid 30 million to Lis Wiehl a guest on his old show at Fox News to keep quiet about his sleeping with her.

Stormy Daniels must be kicking herself for sleeping with the wrong guy.

And lo!

As I sit in the cafe, word comes through on my phone that Donald Trump has indeed been indicted.

A former President of the United States will have to go to a police station and have his fingerprints taken.

Well, well, well.

Donald Trump has enough on his plate without having me on his side,

"It's a dangerous game they're playing," I  murmur aloud.

The ghost of TS Eliott appears beside me.

"This is the way the world will end," TS Eliott remarks vis a vis nothing at all, "this is the way the world will end, this is the way the world will end, not with a bang but a whimper."

"I'd say there'll be a bit of a bang too TS," I tell him quietly. "And could you move to your left a bit. You're blocking the view of that beauty with the port wine stain. There you go. Yeah baby, yeah. Come to Butt Head. Sorry TS. What were we talking about?"

fortunes of war

"All our tests show that this child will have severe life limiting conditions. We strongly recommend you terminate the pregnancy."

Now six years later the little girl runs up to my table in an English cafe and blurts out: "I have to eat a lot. I'm having a growth spurt."

I quietly ask her mother if the child has any medical issues.

"None," says her mother.
