The blonde woman has just disparaged the enthusiastic guy for his enthusiasm re graphs. Extraordinary. ABC coverage led by Stephanopolous okay with Chris Christie and Rahm Emanuel duelling panellists. CBS, NBC and others favouring the sick parrot style of presenter. I can't get CNN. God is showing his providential care to me. I have some hopes that the sick parrots on all the networks will be a whole lot sicker before the night is out.

2am Skybollah have Omarosa Manigault as a panellist. She's a former Trump staffer who was removed forcibly from the Administration, ie fired. Previously she'd been one of the more fetching Pastors among a group of black preachers in a photo op consultation that Trump staged prior to his first election as President in 2016. Before that she'd been a competitor on Trump's TV show The Apprentice. Her comments for Sky have all the insight and balance of a woman scorned. Personally I think there should be a recount regarding the death by "heart attack" of her then boyfriend actor Michael Clarke Duncan in 2012. 4.05am CBS calling California for Biden. Big swinging mickie. Florida and Georgia still hilariously uncalled for Trump. On the CBS wall map computer graphic Virginia has been shaded a lighter blue to indicate they're now not sure of the earlier call. Texas is shaded a light pink as if they're not absolutely sure that Trump has won it.

4.10am  Fox calling Florida for Trump. Other networks holding back.

4.25am Fox calling Arizona for Biden. Say it ain't so Brett, say it ain't so.

4.35am CBS sick parrot woman says: "It's always good to talk to Steven Colbert. We need some levity amid this... this... moment." Come on Trump. Come on. Do it for this woman alone. She's a parrot who needs to be sicker.

4.45 Republican mover and shaker Reince Preibus on CBS seems a bit miffed that Fox called Arizona already. CBS panellists delighted by the whiff of criticism from Reince for Fox.

4.50am The famously "common" Anthony Scaramucci who was Trump's brashest of press spokesmen for a full five minutes (He was followed in the job by the brilliant preacher's daughter Sarah Saunders and then by the striking Keyleigh McAneany) is on the Beeb. Quite measured and insightful in his comments. He raises the tone of the place.

4.55am Sick parrot woman on NBC: "This is not the night Democrats dreamed of." Me in Austin Powers voice: "Yeah baby, yeah."

5am Trump in front in all three of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Go on Trumper. Padre Baines desrves that hundred quid I''ve to give him if you win. He'll use it for the widows and orphans fund. Come on.

5.05am ABC's Stephanopoulos calling Ohio for Trump. Virginia which has already been called by other networks for Biden is still showing a Trump lead.

5.10am ABC getting jumpy about Wisconsin. Delightful rationalisms to cover the fact that slowly but surely they're realising Trump is going to win it. Remember thou art mortal, ye Liberals. But they're calling Virginia formally for Biden. Bawls.

5.15am Andrew Neil at the Beeb: "There's a bit of a hiatus in things. It's not really clear how things will pan out." He is like a ghost of himself. Perhaps an angel from the Trump campaign has crossed the Atlantic and is whispering in his ear: "Remember thou art mortal and what's Pamella Bardes' phone number?" And for the first time tonight he looks haggard and afraid. Riotous good fun.

5.16am Steyn says Texas has been declared for Trump but it's still white and undeclared on some of the network maps. They'll probably colour it in next week. Trump is still in front in the vote count in the State of Virginia which has already been declared by the networks for Biden.

5.40am Biden has made a speech claiming to have won Wisconsin where. Trump is currently more than ten percentage points in front. Andrew Neil is now reading a Trump statement which is displayed on the screen beside Andrew to wit: "We are up BIG but they are trying to STEAL the election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the Poles are closed." Andrew finds it very funny that Trump's statement seemingly spells polls as Poles. Oh Andrew. You deeply unfunny man. The Beeb blonde parrot is interviewing some Dem and has misstated Trump's statement. She is saying: "It's not right that votes can't be counted after the polls have closed." But what Trump wrote was: "Votes cannot be cast after the Poles str closed." Andrew Neil is now jeering: "He said in his Tweet: 'They are trying to steal the election.' What is the evidence for that?" Well the burst pipe delaying the count in Georgia is a sort of evidence. The abandonment of counting in Pennsylvania is more. The failure to certify States Trump clearly has won early in the night while rushing to certify States for Biden is yet more. The sudden slowing of counts in a slew of States where Trump was leading is more. The sudden discovery of hundred thousand vote tranches for Biden with no Trump votes in them whatsoever is another. This is woeful stuff. Why on earth does the BBC cover an American election using broadcast professionals who viscerally hate America and utterly despise democracy?

6am Minnesota seems to have been called everywhere for Biden.

6.01am On impulse I go to check out another once famously Bolshevick British television station styled Channel Four. In the good old days they were even more sleazoidly left wing than the Beeb. Tonight all is quiet. No election coverage whatsoever. They are showing quiz shows called Fifteen To One (which I once auditioned unsuccessfully for) and Coundown, and a comedy called The Big Bang Theory. Hast it come to this? Alas poor Channel Four. I knew him Horatio. Where art thy leftist jibest now? Oh pale Marxian atheists. How thou hast fallen. Not even showing up to crow with superior mien about an American election. This is what bankruptcy does to a Bolshevick television station. But why hasn't it done it to the rest of them?

6.02am RTE has dropped the CBS coverage. They've switched their television coverage to their own radio studios where two journos are sitting hunched over a table in a darkened room padding out their lack of anything to say with... with... well saying things that aren't worth saying. Give it up RTE. The Russian Communist Party lost the Cold War and so did you. I'm not even sure it is a studio. It looks like someone's house. It looks like something I'd put together for an internet broadcast. This is what they can manage on a billion dollars of free money every year. This is what they can manage for the biggest story on earth? No new comments on Steyn's website for a while. He's gone to bed. The lazy dastard.

6.30am The Beeb's electoral college tally shows 210 to Joe Biden and 213 to Trump. Velly Intelesting. Some of the American networks are still delaying certification of Trump States to keep him behind in the tally they show. For instance 203 to 189 on Stephanopolous' ABC, and 224 to 213 at Bloomberg, and 238 to 213 at Fox, all in favour of Biden. Good show old Beeb. I take back everything I've ever said about you.

6.55am Beeb coverage still has Andrew Neil parrot and blonde parrot (I've just found out her actual name is Katty Kay) but now also features a reduced sized screen and a guy doing sign language outside the screen. Why would the Beeb assume that waves of deaf people have suddenly tuned in? This is the last ridiculosity at the end of the world.

7am CBS woman insisting there is nothing unusual going on. "This has all happened before," she says. She cites Kennedy's election in 1960 and the Florida recount in the year 2000. The problem with these cases is that neither amount to best practice. They were both Democratic Party attempts to steal through the jiggerypokery in a single State, successful for Kennedy in 1960 and a failure against the Bushwhacker in 2000. But not examples of how things should be. The only salient difference between those cases and the current smash and grab on the Trump vote is that those cases each took place in one State while tonight the shenanigans is underway in at least seven States at the same time.

7.05am Steyn's back. He suggests that the abandonment of counting in Pennsylvania with Trump ahead by three quarters of a million votes and with 60 percent of the vote tallied, indicates a Democratic Party attempt to steal. Might be the evidence Andrew Neil is looking for, over at the sign language pantomime which is the Beeb.

7.07am Minnesota faraoir gear seems to have gone for sure to Biden. (Faraoir gear is Irish for "for the love of bollocks.")

7.08am Steve Turley on the internet says Trump has won the election and accuses the normally Trump leaning Fox News of purveying fake news with the early call of the still undecided Arizona.

7.20 Stephanopolous at ABC says: "We came into this election divided by race, region and party, and we are still divided by race, region and party." Ah yes. It's always so divisive George when the Republicans win, isn't it!

7.30am Trump live: "This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarassment for our country... We won this election... This is a fraud... We want all voting to stop.... We don't want them to find any ballots at 4 o'clock in the morning.... It's a sad moment. To me it's a very sad moment.... We will win this... As far as I'm concerned we already have won this... We will go to the Supreme Court..."

7.35am Katty Kay at the Beeb: "The fact that he says he's the winner of the election does not make him the winner of the election. Votes are still being counted." Funny. She seems much more sympathetic two hours ago when Biden claimed he'd won the election 

7.37am Katty Kay: "These aren't ballots cast after the polls had closed. These are mail ballots mailed in before the polls were closed." To which I would reply: "You don't know that Katty Kay and you don't care whether it's true or not." The BBC is financed the same way Ireland's Stalinist State broadcaster RTE is financed, ie through compulsory taxation on the peasantry and it is of similar merit. 8.10am NBC presenter Lester Holt accusing Trump of taking away people's votes.

8.50am No announcement that vote counting has stopped. Occasional notifications flashing on the Beeb that President Trump is going to the Supreme Court to seek an order to have it stopped. Katty Kay starting to look really attractive to me.

9am I'd be willing to bet that the Supreme Court will refuse to stop the counts if asked. I wonder is Padre Baines awake. He might give me a side bet against the Supreme Court intervening.

9.01am It looks like Andrew Neil and Katty Kay have gone home. I wonder did they leave Beeb Central together. I've no intention of learning the names of these new guys. Both look congenial enough. The woman played a fembot in the Austin Powers movies. Big hair. But I don't really know them.

9.03am NBC saying too early to call Arizona. Most of the other networks called it three hours ago. Counting there hasn't moved in those three hours. Still 18 percent of the vote not counted.

9.15am Fox reporting "Trump hints at possible Supreme Court battle." From the Beeb you'd think he'd already driven around to Amy Coney Barrett's house and was banging the kitchen table demanding an order to halt the counts.

9.25am Rahm Emanuel, former Mayor of Chicago and Chief of Staff for Barack Obama speaking on ABC: "We started this night and the President had a very narrow path and Joe Biden had a wide path. Now the President's path has widened and Joe Biden has a narrow paath."

9.30am That fembot is intriguing. I wonder who she is.

9.35am Beeb male presenter accuses Trump of behaving like a dictator. Young American panellist Seth Wethers speaking from Atlanta answers him quite effectively: "An authoritarian is the one who claims to find a sack full of votes a week after an election to change the result. The pollsters are either frauds, liars, or corrupt." Beeb presenters both silence him by switching to female Biden fan Ameshia Cross who says Trump is preventing legitimate votes from being counted. Young guy comes back with some good stuff. "There are no votes that are not being counted," he says. "I don't know what world you're living in." The presenters keep handing the conversation over to Ameshia and asking her another question to prevent Seth from answering most of what she says. Seth starts to laugh. Ameshia says: "I am speaking." Seth replies: "And I am laughing." This I like.

9.40am Beeb news reader claims: "Donald Trump has claimed an unsubstantiated victory."

9.45am Stephanopolous: "Nate can I ask you?" Camera swings to Nate who's on a mobile phone. Thank heavens for the gift of laughter. Stephanopolous now announcing that Biden has gone in front in Wisconsin by 11 thousand votes..The lead has changed there at a stroke through the inclusion of a supposed block of votes from the town of Milwaukee. That's how it's done. Wait till a substantial amount of the vote is in so you know the total you have to beat, then produce a block of votes on a computer hard drive which gives Biden the victory. The steal is on.

He thinks the opinion pollsters should be castigated for understating the Trump vote in advance of the election but he doesn't suggest that this is part of an organised fraudulent activity which I think it is.

9pm Fox News calling Wisconsin for Biden. That kills us. Now the sick parrot is me.

9.05pm Ben Shapiro claiming that this is in fact a good night for Republicans. He explains that all the opinion polls have been shown to be hugely wrong in understating (deliberately in my view) Republican support; that Trump has outperformed at every level; that Lyndsey Graham triumphantly by 12 percentage points and Susan Collins resoundingly by nine, have retained their Senate seats when predicted to lose them as have Joanie Ernst and Mitch McConnell; that Republicans will hold the Senate and win extra seats in the House of Representatives again overturning crassly wrong predictions from opinion pollsters cearly in the tank for the Dems (My opinion, not Ben's); that Trump in every aspect of his time in power shows that the base of Republican Party support can appeal to ever more segments of the community. Ben's assessment that this is a good night for Republicants generally is correct. What Ben doesn't understand is... There will never be another Donald Trump.
